Sentiments from the 2010 elections
Friday, May 14, 2010
I have never cared so much who is sleeping in the master's bedroom of the Malacanang Palace. But during GMA's era and her series of scandals the future of Philippines are being thrown in a trashcan, I realized we need someone to save us from the state we are in. Someone who can bravely face the problems we are currently in.
So, this past election I voted for Gibo Teodoro. Why? Because of his great vision, different leadership, great track record, and great personality. I won't elaborate more since it's useless, people of the Philippines has already spoken, and they want Noy Noy Aquino to lead us and our country. It's a shame. Why? Because the next 6 years could be wonderful years of different change, not the usual," I will remove all the corrupt leaders in the country" and "I will stop poverty" plan like Noy Noy is offering us. Does he know that it's not that easy to do that? Even her Mother, with due respect to Cory Aquino, didn't succeed. The leadership Gibo is offering us is something to watch-out-for, that's why I'm sad to see how the elections went through. Well, it's sad to say that there are so many people that are emotional, maybe they pity NoyNoy because of what happened to his family(because of his ads) or they still have hangover of the People Power or they just want a safe choice.
My sentiments may not be important to you, but is important to all the Gibo supporters and me. I hope for those who voted for Noy Noy especially the parents, did think that they are voting for their children since the people who will be benefiting on the success of the next president is their children and the next generation thereafter.
But in the end we cannot change the fact that Noy Noy is the president now well not officialy, and the journey of Gibo Teodoro doesn't end when he lost the presidential race. I'm still hoping for the CHANGE for a better Philippines.
